fantastic! My first week at Black Boots has officially flown by, and I have to say, it’s been fantastic! From the warm welcome I received to the collaborative atmosphere, I already feel right at home. Everyone has been incredibly supportive, taking the time to share their expertise and help me navigate my new role.
I have to say, during my interview process with Richard, I was excited by his determination, passion, and drive for this relatively new company. His transparency with the team made me appreciate the direction Black Boots is heading in.
The culture here is inspiring, and I’m fully committed to upholding the ethos of hard work and continuous learning. My background in education has equipped me with strong communication skills, which I believe will be an asset to the team. While I’m new to building regulation, my ability to sift through information and extract key takeaways – a skill honed during my university years – will be essential to providing an efficient and effective Managed Service.
When I’m not immersed in the world of work, you’ll find me exploring novels and delving into new topics. I’m a firm believer that continuous learning is key to connecting with others.
Here’s a fun fact about me: I studied Theology & Religious Studies at university! It’s a subject I find incredibly interesting and always sparks great conversations at dinner parties.
For anyone starting a new role, my advice is to be organised in your note taking and be sure to ask as many questions as possible. Sometimes you may need to ask someone to slow down or repeat themselves; that’s completely okay! If you are getting stuck on the first hurdle, be sure to address it asap and not just skip past it because you’re nervous. Honesty and effective communication are vital for both the team and your own well-being.
